Have you ever given any thought to making homemade butter? Did you know it is literally the easiest possible thing to make? Here I’ll show you just how easy it is:
3 cups whipping cream
1 tsp salt
Pour these into your food processor and let it go for about 10 minutes until the butter and liquid separate and 1 big lump of butter starts whirling around sticking together.
You can also use your mixer but make sure to place plastic wrap around all open areas of the bowl or you will get wet.
Place a large bowl underneath a strainer and pour the butter and buttermilk into the strainer. Press the butter to squeeze out any extra liquid and seal it in an airtight container. Save the buttermilk for soaking chicken or some other recipe.
